#Letter: Collapsing R74 road poses danger for motorists

"At least four sections of the road is collapsing, including the one opposite Stanger Manor Secondary School where shoddy and incomplete work was done by the Department of Transport (DoT)" - Cllr Krsna Sing

DA caucus leader for iLembe district Cllr Krsna Sing writes:
The R74 road in Stanger Manor is becoming more dangerous by the day after the recent floods.
The high volume of traffic and many heavy-duty vehicles travelling on this road daily pose high risks to motorists.
At least four sections of the road is collapsing, including the one opposite Stanger Manor Secondary School where shoddy and incomplete work was done by the Department of Transport (DOT).
According to a DoT official it has been prioritised for emergency work.
Consultants has been appointed to fast-track the process and hopefully urgent intervention will be taken before disaster strikes.
