Nelson Puckree of Stanger Heights writes:
I would like to thank ward 16 councillor Sanela Mthiyane for his quick response to our water plight, supplying the community with water tankers twice daily after the floods damaged the water supply pipes.
These are the people we need in council, who have the passion to serve the community. Not like those councillors who come in their party regalia to exploit the poor and the desperate.
Many candidates canvassed for our votes, and after they lost were elected as PR councillors, but they were not visible in our time of need,
Councillor Sanela, you are a star and I want to thank you on behalf of all the residents of Hillside Flats affected by the water disruption which is still ongoing.
I also want to thank Ayesha of North Street Mosque for suppling us with 5-litre bottles of water.
We really appreciate your benevolence in our most difficult times.
