Babu Sampath of Food for Life Africa KwaDukuza writes:
The KwaDukuza branch of Food for Life Africa is preparing to serve local underprivileged communities as part of the annual Mandela Day celebrations on July 18.
On this day, South Africans are called to spend at least 67 minutes for the good of others.
This year, Food for Life Africa KwaDukuza plans to cook 108 pots of food to provide 27 000 meals to the needy.
To achieve this, we urgently need public support in terms of sponsorships and help to prepare, cook and distribute food parcels.
Businesses can, for example, use this initiative to get their employees together for a team-building exercise, or people may want to get together as families or friends, organisations or as individuals to sponsor or join the project.
Food For Life KwaDukuza is a non-profit organisation registered as a Section 21 company with Sars.
For more information or to donate financially to the project, email kwadukuzafflafrica@gmail.com or contact the secretary at 032 552 4232 or 082 449 3879 for details.
