#Letter: Lack of urgency worrisome

"I'm so sorry to hear that Tongaat still has no water. My heart aches for the elderly who just cannot carry and lift heavy buckets and containers" - Terry Rens.

Terry Rens of Umdloti writes:

I’m absolutely shocked at the seeming lack of urgency to address Tongaat’s water crisis.

This situation is inhumane and the eThekwini metro should be working night and day to rectify the situation.

Are the residents aware of what the issues are? If not, why not?

Are there any ratepayers associations to meet with the relevant authorities to try and find temporary solutions?

I’m so sorry to hear that Tongaat still has no water. My heart aches for the elderly who just cannot carry and lift heavy buckets and containers.
