#Letter: Bridge problem poses danger

"I blame poor maintenance by the Department of Transport as there are serious drainage issues which are not attended to" - Ward 3 Councillor, Kuben Naicker

Tugela ward 3 Cllr Kuben Naicker writes:

The John Ross bridge on the R102 just after the Tugela River poses a constant problem in that during heavy rains, this bridge is flooded, which endangers motorists’ lives.

I blame poor maintenance by the Department of Transport as there are serious drainage issues which are not attended to.

I call upon the department to intervene and take immediate action to solve the problem in the interest of road safety.
