#Letter: Putting the cart before the horse

"What is the point of spending money on equipment when the traffic lights are often not in operation even when there is no loadshedding?" - Ken Groom.

Caledon Estate resident Ken Groom writes:

In response to the recent article ‘Backup plan for traffic lights’ (Courier, March 17) detailing plans to install inverters at the town’s main traffic lights.

What is the point of spending money on equipment when the traffic lights are often not in operation even when there is no loadshedding?

It would make much more sense to fix that problem first rather than put the cart before the horse.
