Ballito residents Ken and Frances Lever writes:
We would like to express our appreciation to our municipality, our mayor, councillors and the beleaguered engineering staff for all the recent road resurfacing work in the Ballito residential areas, including Stella Road.
We trust we include most of the residents and ratepayers of “old” Ballito.
Congratulations also to the tarring company on a job well done, albeit noisily and in the dead of night!
We sincerely hope potholes will be a thing of the past – including the whinging – for at least the next few years.
But please would all take note, especially our municipal officials and professionals, that timeous preventive maintenance – i.e. “A stitch in time saves nine” – can and should save a heap of reconstruction work.
That, of course, goes for just about everything from roads to vehicles and houses, including any traffic lights you may have acquired.
It makes a very pleasant change to say thank you KwaDukuza Municipality.
