When last have you been to a drive-in?

The drive-in is back in town at Suncoast, Durban.

With cinemas still closed, the once popular drive-ins are being resurrected.

Across the world outdoor cinemas are popping up, providing a safe way to enjoy the big screen during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Outdoor entertainment hasn’t looked this good in a very long time.

In Durban, Parkflix will be screening a number of films from August 20 to 30 – just like back in the old days – at Suncoast, Durban.

The drive-in theatre is able to cater up to 200 vehicles per show.

The cost per show is R220 per vehicle with two people – R50 will be added per additional person and children under eight get in for free (Tickets available at www.webtickets.co.za).

The first movie is set to air at 6.30pm tonight.

Some of the movies set to be played include hits such as Bad Boys 2, Joker, Oceans 8, A Star is Born as well as a number of child-friendly films, like the Lion King.

The line up includes: (August 20 – 23)

Thursday at 6.30pm, Bad Boys 2.
Friday at 6.30pm, Joker.
Saturday at 2.30pm, The Lego Batman Movie and at 6.30pm, A Star is Born.
