With an unfamiliar chill in the air of late for our part of the world, it’s safe to say that winter is here. So far the season has produced some excellent surf and weather. This past Saturday was another absolute pearler with warm balmy sunshine and cooking surf.

The early part of this week will see another cold front move up and the swell looks to increase in size. The rest of the week will see consistent surf with good period and sunny skies. If it looks good – get wet!

The JEEP Surf Carnival took place in Durban over this past weekend. The event catered for longboarding and SUP disciplines. There was also a retro division where surfers rode boards from “yester years”. Much fun was had by all and congratulations to all who took part and to the winners of all divisions.

Brazilian Gabriel Madina won the Fiji Pro and moves to the top of the ASP WCT rankings. This was stop number 5 of the tour. Next up is the JBay Open which is followed by the big one for us – the Mr Price Pro!
