A big fish for the little ones
Simbithi hosts their seventh annual fishing competition for young residents.
Little fishermen gathered at the Heron Dam at Simbithi Eco Estate for the seventh annual fishing competition held for the residents’ children last Saturday.
After a hard day’s fishing, the children were treated to pizzas and cold drinks, while the judges decided who won and got the prizes ready.
The winning fish, a Grass Karp weighing nine kilograms, was caught by Dylan Westoby.
The competition was hosted by Estate Living Ballito and sponsored by De Wet Leitch Hands Inc.
Next year’s competition promises to be even bigger, as there will be a R1000 prize for the person who catches the tagged fish, so start practicing so long.
