Santa Claus climbed on a scooter to lead more then two hundred walkers, dogs and babies in prams, all donning festive headgear, through the streets of Salt Rock last Wednesday for the Charity Christmas Hat Walk.
The walkers set off from the club’s new home at the Salt Rock Country Club, for a jolly five kilometre stroll through the streets.
As a result the Dolphin Coast Striders were able to donate R10 000 to the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.
Striders chairman, Barry Holland said he was delighted with the outcome.
“The Dolphin Coast Striders is a community based organisation and we always strive to give back into our community, and by partnering with RE/MAX were were able to achieve that.”
