More gold for Ashton’s Muric
Muric has excelled in all karate tournaments this year, winning several gold medals.
Skisa Karate champ and Protea, Dzemil Muric, a grade ten pupil at Ashton International College, was awarded the international Kanazawa cup grand champion 2016 at the Kanazawa International cup tournament last weekend at the Durban University of Technology.
Muric, who is mentored by head Protea coach, Sensei Brando Pillay (shihan), has excelled in all karate tournaments this year, winning several gold medals.
He practises and assists with teaching classes at the SKISA in the Tongaat sport centre under the watchful eye of president of karate South Africa, Hanshi Sonny Pillay.
Protea coach Sensei Brando said, “Dzemil works extremely hard in the sport and he is reaping the benefits of his hard work from an early age.”
