Rocky Park gives Relatives a hard time

The game started at a high pace as both teams were attacking non-stop.

There was some spectacular football on display last Sunday as Rocky Park FC and Darnall Relatives FC clashed for a place on the SAB regional league at the KwaDukuza Recreation grounds.

It was a matter of sorting out which bull would “rule the kraal” as both teams ended the season on top of the KwaDukuza SAFA premier league.

The game started at a high pace as both teams were attacking non-stop. It was no surprise when Ebrain Oosien netted a brilliant goal for Rocky Park after some sustained pressure just just a few minutes after the kick-off.

Darnall equalised in less than 15 minutes, but their defence was caught napping when Oosien scored his second goal before half time.

An unfortunate Darnall defender stamped the Rocky Park’s passports for their promotion trip when he scored an own goal, leading to the eventual final score 3-1.

Rocky Park FC coach, Randolph Swartbooi said he was impressed with his boys’ performance to promote his side to the SAB regional league.

“We are excited about playing at the regional league and we are quite confident that we can even win it,” said Swartbooi.
