Local Martial artist meets the Terminator

KwaDukuza Martial Arts instructor Humaira Khan not only scooped up medals at an international tournament but met the Terminator himself.
Khan participated in the Arnold Classic Tournament this past weekend and was fortunate to get a picture with Hollywood actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. The tournament was hosted by Schwarzenegger at the Sandton Convention Centre in Gauteng.
Humaira Khan received three medals and achieved gold for continuous sparing (fighting), silver in patterns (forms) and bronze for point sparing (kumitay).
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my instructors from the time I started my karate training to achieving my Taekwondo black belt,” said Khan.
Khan, along with three of her students, will be competing at an international event to be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
“We are therefore appealing to the town of KwaDukuza to help us with sponsorships so that we can go represent South Africa at the competition.”
