Dribbling against crime

Rovers FC gave Mvetshane FC soccer lessons during a Sport Against Crime day held at Shakaskraal Secondary School recently.

The Rovers claimed a 4-0 win as they dominated the game from start to the end.

Although the Mvetshane players showed some impressive moves, especially from their wingers, their strikers were no match for the Rovers defence.

At half time, the Bayern junior and Real Madrid junior teams kept the crowd entertained and Bayern won 2-0.

After the games, players and youth of ward 28, were addressed by their ward ANCYL leaders, encouraging them to stand against crime.

“If you don’t trust the police or your community leaders, you can approach the Umhlali SAPS station commander,” said secretary Nelly Luthuli.
