High speed hijinks in Ballito this weekend

Head down to the Ballito Cable Ski Park at 10am on Saturday for an action-packed day!

The sound of revving motors and the smell of ozone will delight race fans this weekend as the South African Jet Sport Boating Association (SAJSBA) brings the SA jetski nationals to Ballito.

The action will go down at Ballito Cable Ski Park on February 24 and will get started at 10am.

“The introduction of novice classes is bringing people who have not raced previously into the sport, parents who were involved many years ago are bringing their children to race, some of them veterans themselves are also racing,” said SAJSBA’s Mandy Rootman.

The SA jet ski nationals are coming to Ballito this weekend.

“It has become a very family friendly sport and this obviously makes it more popular where a basic jet ski can be ridden by both the parent and junior.”

Between 30 and 35 riders riders from across the country will be tearing up the water with 12 different classes, from novice to pro.

So make sure to mark Saturday on your calendars, entrance to the Cable Ski Park is free and there will be plenty of food and drinks on sale.
