The excitement went down at Ballito Cable Ski Park in beautiful sunny weather.

Screaming motors, splashed spectators and hi speed competition were the order of the day.

Claude Newberry came first in the veterans category, while Sean Valsecchi won with the ski lites and pro ski fields and Louis Smith bagged the sport lites.

The 2010, 2012 and 2017 nationals winner Welcome Radebe wowed the crowd and claimed top spot in the open category.

Jared Moore won the pro runabout open and pro run about stock.

The highlight for local fans of the sport were the results of Ballito’s youngsters Matthew Sanders and Liam Crichton, who took first and second places respectively in the junior blasters’ category.
