Dads and lads churn up Footy tournament
Children from three all the way to 11-years-old joined teams consisting of three dads and three lads to take on the tournament.
The Footy “Dads and Lads” soccer tournament was met with perfect weather and some eager players over the weekend.
The boys (and a few girls) teamed up with their dads of all ages.
Children from three all the way to 11-years-old joined teams consisting of three dads and three lads to take on the tournament, each round of which lasted about two hours.
The vocal moms and siblings enjoyed the action from the sideline, supporting their families.

Meanwhile, more than a few of the dads gasped for air in-between each game as they tried to keep up with their sons.
The little guys did not want to ever stop playing and were dynamos of energy giving the old men a run for their money.
“We had six teams participate in the tournament with all teams receiving Footy vouchers for taking part,” said Footy’s Kyle Crichton.
“The spirit in which the games were played encompassed what Footy is all about: all age groups, both boys and girls, and any skill level can enjoy the beautiful game in a social environment.
Both spectators and players thoroughly enjoyed the day and Footy looks forward to hosting all new teams again soon.
The Footy Kids Academy offers the little ones basic skills development in a controlled and safe environment with the main focus on enjoying the beautiful game of football with their friends.
