Ilembe groms tear it up
Overall, Ilembe came fifth out of eight participating associations.
The Ilembe Surf Riders headed down to PE recently for the SA Grommet Games, where our young surfers proved their mettle.
Cooper Smith received a gold medal for the Sea Harvest Star award and Linda Hlope was awarded a gold medal as an official for the Sea Harvest Grommet games star award.
Overall, Ilembe came fifth out of eight participating associations.
Not too shabby for the newest association in the competition.
Cooper Smith claimed fourth in the U10 category, while Mayah Potgieter also took fourth in the U12 girls competition and David Edwards came third in the U16 boys event.
