BUFC season off to a flyer

More than 80 players took to the field over the weekend to represent Ballito in a series of away matches.

The lads from the Ballito United Football Club (BUFC) kicked off their league this weekend with four wins out of seven matches and only one loss.

BUFC entered seven teams into the Durban Central Football Association league from U8 through to U15.

The U10 boys steamrolled Juventes 7-0, with the U13 team also dominating Stella by 4-0.

The U10 lads handily defeated their opponents from Juventes 3-1 while the U15A team beat Bayview 4-1.

BUFC recorded two draws over the weekend as the U9 boys ended two all against Stella and the U15B squad came to a stalemate in an absolute goalfest that saw them end 6-6 against the team from Toti.

In the only loss for the local lads on Sunday, the U8 boys were unable to match the tempo of the Westville Old Boys team who defeated them 5-2.

More than 80 players took to the field over the weekend to represent Ballito in a series of away matches.

There will be four home matches next week at Ashton College, times to be announced.
