The muddy conditions at the recent trials caused many laughs and some quick thinking.

The muddy conditions caused many laughs and some quick thinking.

The following girls were selected for the team:

Lindsay Smith (vice captain), Hannah Sterley, Julie Oellermann, Lauren Stewart, Lauren Carter (captain), Danielle Dalton, Cherise Erasmus, Mariette Louw, Shaydene Grant, Mia Naudé, Leigh Swarts, Adri Olwage, Rochelle van Staden (goalkeeper) and Roxy Nel, reserves: Tameryn Lategan, Donlee Harris.

“We are confident in saying that we have a very strong team to represent us in the Richard’s Bay league and the girls are very excited as we prepare for our first game on Sunday, May 20,” said Mia Naudé.

“We have come a long way and we have had quite a few speedbumps, but with Bidvest McCarthy Toyota Ballito taking over as division sponsor and our main sponsor for the first team, we are very excited and we look forward to representing them and the club on the field in a few weeks’ time.”
