Umhlali Impis hunt players for Durban league
The Impis field two men’s teams in the Durban league but are still short of enough players to make up the full compliment for two squads.
As the hockey season heats up the Umhlali Impis are on the lookout for new players ready to dive into the Durban league.
“We are keen to find players for both our junior and senior sections,” said Impi Rob Pisarra.
While the junior Impis have just started playing their league games, the senior men still have until May 5 for there first game of the new season.

Any one over the age of 14 who is interested is invited to join them at the Crawford North Coast astro on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8pm.

“Club hockey provides hockey players of both genders and of all ages with the opportunity to practice on Astro and to partake in tournaments and festivals,” Pissarra said.
“It can be enjoyed purely on a social level or it can be taken to a very competitive level.
“We are not specifically affiliated to any school and pupils from all local schools are encouraged to join the club.”
