Hat-trick for Ali as Manor go undefeated

Manor Cricket Club defeated Morningside in a one-sided match to finish the season undefeated in the T20 A league over the weekend.

Manor, who were without several players, dominated the match from the outset and dismissed Morningside for a paltry 85 runs in their 20 overs.

The pick of the Manor bowlers were Aaron Pillay who took two wickets in four overs while conceding just 10 runs, and Ali Sher who took a magnificent hat-trick to end with figures of three in four conceding only 11 runs.

Only Lucky Gambane (18) , Xolani Dlamini (15) and Harry Naidoo (11) were able to reach double figures for the Morningside team.

In reply, Manor chased down their total in just 16 overs for the bonus point with Adesh Bageloo making 18, Cameron Pillay 16 and skipper Comfort Shange scoring 28 not out.

Manor’s undefeated run in the T20 season was their cherry on the top for the club celebrating its 20th anniversary. Manor will also be hosting a Super 8 big bash tournament at the end of the month as part of its anniversary celebration.
