The Ilembe Surfriders development team is drawn from rural areas throughout the district.
The big league surfing may have wrapped up at Willard Beach on Saturday, but Sunday saw development surfers taking to the water.

The Ilembe Surfriders development team is drawn from rural areas throughout the district, giving previously disadvantaged children the opportunity to learn to surf and get to know the sea they live so close to.
On Sunday they received mentoring and took part in a fun contest where they experienced first hand what it is like to surf with judges watching and spectators on the beach.
