Driving past Ashton International College’s fields last week Thursday, you may have noticed some rather big boys practicing rugby.
The Argentinian Jaguares made use of Ashton’s fields for practice ahead of their clash with the Sharks at the Shark Tank over the weekend, where the South Africans won 20-10.
Joe Erasmus, Ashton’s MD, told the Courier he had been approached by the Jaguares after they had heard about the school’s world class facilities.
“After their session they handled over a signed match jersey and rugby ball,” Erusmas said.
“We had a number of school students and their parents witnessing their moves in a semi-contact session as well as strategic moves for their game day. It was a pleasure being able to host them.”
