Muddy trail fun at Blythedale Coastal Estate
This venue has quickly become popular and for good reason.
After some solid rain on Saturday, runners in the second installment of the 2018 KZN Trail Running Coastal Series were treated to sunshine, mud and some epic new forest single track at the Blythedale Coastal Estate.
In the 20km event, David van der Veen, Richard Hrrison and Amy Mathew were the first three across the line.

Andy Birtwhistle, Kolbe Collet and Paige Mackenzi took the top three spots in the 13km trail run; and William Zikhali, Brandon Wild and Krisjan Slabbert took first, second and third in the 6km trail run.

This venue has quickly become popular and for good reason – the picnic site race village is incredibly scenic and the variation from dense forest to beach-side dune running makes for interesting trail runs.
The organisers extended their thanks to Elan Property Group and Blythedale Coastal Estate for hosting them, as well as all their top-notch partners for their ongoing support.
