Local dancers leading ‘en pointe’

Ballet is like dreaming on your feet.

Three pupils from Celia Davis School of Ballet, based at Burnedale in Umhlali, excelled in their annual Cecchetti major ballet examination held in September.

Not only did the three candidates receive distinctions at their respective levels and qualify to take part in the annual Cecchetti KZN Gala at The Playhouse later this month, Danielle Fletcher was also the winner of the Cecchetti KZN intermediate trophy and bursary, and Nandi Sibiya was runner-up.

They will be acknowledged for their achievement at this gala where they will be presented with their trophies.
