It’s all about fun at the Footy field
The sun and vocal spectators were out in full force as the players enjoyed the thrill and excitement of playing against each other in front of their respective supporters.
On Thursday two of the junior Footy teams strapped on their boots and welcomed two very excited Shaka’s Head teams to the Footy field.
The sun and vocal spectators were out in full force as the players enjoyed the thrill and excitement of playing against each other in front of their respective supporters.
Both games were played at a crazy level of intensity with all the teams running themselves to an absolute standstill.
The Footy U/6 team showed good composure in front of goal and won the friendly match. The Shakashead U/7 team showcased some amazing passing skills and scored some crackers to beat the Footy U/7 team.
“The games were not about winning or losing – more about football-loving children getting together to enjoy the beautiful game,” said Footy’s Kyle Crichton.
“Thank you to all the Footy parents for bringing snacks and refreshments for our Shakashead opponents, which they thoroughly enjoyed after the game.”
On Friday, November 2 from 3pm to 5.30pm Footy will be hosting a ”Ballies and Groms” soccer tournament for all kids U/7. All are welcome to join as they light the braais, play the tunes and get the Dads on the field with the little ones.
