Superheroes drive for education at ConninghamLee Golf Day
Dressed in capes and armed with bows and arrows, golfers had a blast in perfect winter weather.
Superheroes took to the golf course to swing it up for a good cause at the annual ConninghamLee Golf Day at Umhlali Country Club last Friday.
Dressed in capes and armed with bows and arrows, golfers had a blast in perfect winter weather and raised over R55 000 which will help put deserving students through tertiary education.
Golf day organiser Debbie Nicholson said they need about R35 000 to put a child through a degree at the ConninghamLee Academy.
“The girl who is currently studying thanks to the previous golf day is achieving distinctions which we are so excited about.
“We hope to give two children this opportunity next year,” said Nicholson.
“Thank you to everyone who took part and to the sponsors who made it happen. We had such a fantastic time and everyone really enjoyed being a superhero for a day.”
