Simbithi golf ladies boost Summerhill’s coffers

Summerhill House drives crucial projects such as looking after orphans, educating children, running a feeding scheme and supporting gogos in Etete.

Summerhill House in Etete recently received a much needed financial injection from the Simbithi Country Club’s ladies section.

They raised R77 320 during their ladies’ charity day events, sponsored by Pam Golding and Cornerstone Properties.

Ladies’ captain, Jean Freeman, said Summerhill drives many crucial projects such as looking after orphans, educating children, running a feeding scheme and supporting gogos in Etete.

She was impressed with the homes the organisation has built for abandoned children.

“They have full-time moms who care for the children and the houses are beautifully furnished to create a real home for the children.

“Two houses are incomplete, however, and it is here the Simbithi ladies hope to make a difference, with their financial contributions hopefully helping to complete at least one of the buildings,” said Freeman.

She expressed her gratitude to the sponsors and everyone who contributed to making the day a success.
