Coral Assassins cap strong league season
UCC claimed 13 points overall which proved enough to claim the coveted Durban Region Ladies Golf Association Weekly Better Ball League title.
Umhlali Country Club’s ‘Coral Assassins’ lived up to their nickname as they stormed to victory in the ladies’ weekday golf league.
The team of 16 who represent UCC’s thriving ladies’ golf scene, beat five other teams from the greater Durban area and officially claimed the 2023 title last week.
Umhlali, Simbithi, Zimbali, Durban, Mt Edgecombe and Kloof country clubs played each other home and away throughout the year in a new team format.

The wider group would be split into eight teams of two who competed in better ball matches.
Clubs earned two points for a win and one point for a draw.
UCC claimed 13 points overall which proved enough to edge out Kloof CC (12) and Durban CC (11) for the coveted Durban Region Ladies Golf Association Weekly Better Ball League title.
