Father-and-son Rovern and Keshen Govender capped off an unbeaten run in the Vamos! Padel League with a straight sets win in the final.

Facing off in a family affair final against brothers Prashant and Yuvraj Misra at Oasis Zimbali Padel last weekend, the duo showed why they had a flawless season. After winning a tight first set 7-5, the Govenders made light work in the second to claim it 6-3 and take home the trophy.

“They are known for their on-court chemistry and relentless consistency but it was composure in the crucial moments that made the real difference,” said league founder Tashen Ramchund.

Ramchund thanked league sponsors The Frozen Shop and all the teams who entered. Ten teams played round-robin matches over nine fixtures before the finalists were confirmed.
