Ballito Royals FC celebrate goals and growth in second year

The U10 Gold Team were recognised for their shield tournament win at the year-end prizegiving.

Ballito Royals FC recently celebrated a sensational second year, growing from 105 players to 157 in the 2025 season.

The club expanded from eight registered teams in the Greater Durban League Football Association to 13 teams this year, collectively playing 166 matches across various divisions.

Young stars were honoured at the annual prizegiving last week, with the U10 Gold team receiving special recognition for their Shield Tournament victory.

Head coach Sheldon Bowes said it was heartwarming to see the club community come together to celebrate the hard work of players, coaches and parents alike.

“To the parents and guardians of our players, your commitment is deeply appreciated,” he said.

“The early mornings, the travel, the countless cups of coffee and loads of laundry, we thank you for helping bring these kids together and fostering a love of football!”

Registration for the 2026 season is now open.
