Manav Malik’s five-wicket haul leads Dawnheights to win over Phoenix

Dawnheights Cricket Club claimed a convincing three-wicket win over Phoenix Cricket Club in a Promotion Top 9 league match on Sunday morning.
The KwaDukuza side bowled first after a rain delay and produced an excellent bowling performance, dismissing Phoenix for 87 in 29.2 overs. Manav Malik led the attack with a superb 5/20 in seven overs, breaking key partnerships and earning the man-of-the-match award.
In reply, opener Adesh Bageloo gave the chase a brisk start with 21 off 16 balls, before several batters contributed to a comfortable run chase. Dawnheights reached 90/7 in 17.5 overs, securing a valuable bonus point.
Off the field, the club thanked Sanchez Spur for sponsoring meals and welcomed a new partnership with the Hollywood Foundation, which provided new kits and equipment.
