The team were thrilled with their position out of 35 schools that participated.

Curro Mount Richmore riders showed their perseverance and endurance when they finished fourth at the final of four races of the 2018 Spur MTB series at Thomas More College, Kloof recently.

The team were thrilled with their position out of 35 schools that participated.

Curro had 13 regular racers with 15-year-old Chloe Bateson being the oldest and most experienced rider, who helped improve the skills of her fellow riders on their Friday group session.

The youngest rider was five-year-old Rayne Bryant who is a champion in the making.

Bateson ranked first in her age group for the series, Justin Swanepoel came second in the sub junior division, Madison Bateson came second in the nipper group and Roxy Bryant third in the same group.

Mountain biking is growing leaps and bounds at Curro and they already have new little riders joining in from grade two and three.

The school is proud of the growing sport and thankful for the support off Christel Weigelt-Harvey who rides with the kids at Holla Trails on Fridays.
