Miss KwaDukuza 2014 was named and crowned on December 27 at Blythedale beach.
KwaDukuza’s darling, Nthabiseng Dube, who is turning 17 this year, was crowned by last year’s Miss KwaDukuza, Nosipho Dube.
The Stanger Manor resident, now in Grade 12 at Eshowe High, said she is full of confidence and looks forward to engaging with young people, especially young girls.
“I have myself to offer and I will make a mark despite the fact that this will be a busy year for me”, she said.
In her free time, Dube enjoys going out with friends, but her vision is to help improve the lives of young people. Also crowned were, first princess, Nothando Xulu from Groutville and second princess Ayanda Khumalo from Malende.
KwaDukuza mayor Ricardo Mthembu has applauded the women, saying that young people continue to make KwaDukuza shine, year after year.
The Miss KwaDukuza competition has become an annual feature since its inception in 2008.
