Ballito is all the Rage
All you need to know about the Rage Festival this year.
Ballito is all the rage right now where thousands of young, energetic matrics will descend upon our shores from November 28 to December 6 to celebrate life and the hope that they are done with school forever.
A matric vacation can be one of the best holidays of one’s life and proper planning can prevent any stress or problems that might arise.
Ballito is well known for being the playground of the Rage festival and for good reason.
It’s a cool town, there’s the beach, the nightclubs and for most of the kids, no parental supervision.
If you are under 18, Ballito is the place to be.

The Rage festival has grown into such a massive success that a venue was created to host all the Rage parties in one spot.
The Sound Factory is situated at Kings Park stadium in Durban but with the official Rage transport it is no problem getting to and from the party.
Armed with your Rage passport, the Sound Factory is where you want to be.
And girls, leave the heels at home because it is going to be one massive dance party.
Local artists like Goldfiish, Pascal and Pearce, Veranda Panda, Euphonik, Roger Goode and DJ Fresh will also be hitting the decks.
The Sound Factory boasts three different dance floors, satisfying pretty much anyone’s music taste.
There is also good news for local, non matriculating party animals because the Sound Factory will be open to non-Ragers as well.
The official Rage opening party is on Novmeber 29 at the Sound Factory.
We all know it’s going to be hot and the drinks are going to be ice cold, but transport to and from the events are very important.
Drinking and then getting behind the wheel is not cool.
It’s stupid.
The solution is pretty simple and also very convenient.
The Rage festival provides top notch transport with their Rage branded shuttles and will take you and your chinas to any spot on the map stretching from Umhlanga to Ballito.
Make sure you only use the festival accredited transport.
Think ahead and budget around R500 for all your festival trips with each ride costing between R20 and R50.
If you are already on your way to Ballito for the festivities, you hopefully have your accommodation sorted and listened to your mom when she went on about food, hydration, dodgy characters and sunscreen.
And since this is not your mom talking, maybe you will pay attention.
Expect a lot of traffic. Ballito is not that big and we’ve got lots of roadworks going on to try and make things better when you come into the town.
Don’t take it the wrong way when we pray for rain while you pray for sunny days to bronze up on the beach.
We’re taking a big knock with the drought and water restrictions are in place.
We love summer too, but no one likes not being able to cure that thirst in the morning or wash off last night’s champagne showers so please save water everywhere you can.
Now did that sound too much like your mother?
Be safe kids, and enjoy the benefits of being young.
