Five things to do in Ballito this weekend
Go rafting, check out some live music or do a good deed.
There is always something hip and happening on the Dolphin Coast, and this weekend is no exception.
Check out our top five picks of what to do this weekend:
1. Jazz the night away
The all-female jazz/pop band Heels over Head from Durban will be visiting the Luthuli Museum in Groutville tonight!
The band is known for getting the audience on their feet to dance to their rhythmic bass lines and their cheerful melodies.
Doors open at 6pm and entrance is R20.
2. Grab your binoculars
The Dolphin Coast Bird Club outing is at Prince’s Grant on April 18 at 7am.
To get to Prince’s Grant drive north on the N2 and take Exit 233 and turn left onto the R74.
After about 1km turn right at the traffic lights onto the R102, after about 3 km turn right to Prince’s Grant and follow this road to Prince’s Grant (about 9 km).
This a special celebration for Prince’s Grant as they are officially opening their new bird hide at 10am, which is next to the sixteenth fairway.

3. Row, row. row your boat
The Tugela Raft Race is an electrifying race that’s kept rafters coming back for over 47 years.
A mix of rapids, flat water sprints and punishing portages, the race chases through the Tugela River to the mouth on Tugela beach.
The 2015 edition of the Tugela Raft Race will take place from on Saturday, April 18 from the Mandeni Sport Club.
The event is a great for team building as it’s about ordinary people setting new challenges and pushing themselves to achieve extraordinary results.

Catch them at the Litchi Orchard on Saturday, April 18 from 7pm.
Tickets are R100 and R80 for pensioners and students.
