Five things to do this weekend on the Dolphin Coast
Your weekend plans sorted!
1. Dance for Mandela Day

Join Hirsch Ballito and Sugar Dance Studio for 67 minutes of Zumba-fun on Friday July 17, from 6pm to 7 pm to celebrate Mandela Day.
Your entry to the event is free, but everyone is encouraged to bring exercise books and stationary for underprivileged schools on the North Coast.
Call Lindy on 032-9467400 to book your spot.
2. Sugarfest at Amatikulu

The Sugarfest is an agricultural show held every two years at Amatikulu Country Club in Zululand and although it is primarily a place where exhibitors can showcase their products to farmers, there are lots of fun activities for young and old.
It started on Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17 is the last day.
Bring the whole family and enjoy a true Zululand tradeshow!
Contact John Nightingale for more info on 083 457 7188 or email sugarfest@discoverymail.co.za
3. Family movie night at the Ballito Junction

Get down to the Ballito Junction on Friday, July 17 at 6pm for 6.30pm where they will host another family movie night on the AstroTurf under the stars.
Let the kids dress up as their favourite Disney character, pack a picnic basket and come and enjoy the 2014 remake of Annie!
You can also help the LIV Village Children’s home by bringing some canned food along that will be collected.
4. Warrior Race at Sugar Rush

The Jeep Warrior Race hits Ballito this Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19 at Sugar Rush Park. Although registration to participate has already closed, it is definitely worthwhile to go and support the crazy guys and girls tackling the obstacle course.
Note that there is a parking fee of R10 and a spectator entry fee of R30 (kids under seven years of age are free).
The race starts at 8am.
5. ACDP Fishing Competition

The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) will be hosting a fishing competition on July 18 at the Tinley Manor Beach.
All anglers with a valid fishing license welcome.
Registration starts at 6am for 7am. Lines in at 7.30am and lines out at 1pm.
