Christmas songs everyone should know
From George Michael to Boney M, these are some of the most well-known Christmas songs.

Whether it’s in your car, in the shopping centre or at your grandparents’ home, you will probably hear these Christmas tunes somewhere.
As annoying as Christmas-themed songs can be, especially if they have been playing since early November, you will find it hard not to sing at least one line of one of these songs.
Wizzard – I wish it could be Christmas everyday
Believe it or not, but there are some people who could totally have Christmas everyday, even though it just sounds exhausting.
This song from Roy Wood from Wizzard, released in 1983, is a real festive party starter.
Bobby Helms – Jingle Bell Rock
This song has been covered by almost every living artist, but the original by old Bobby Helms from 1957 is a cracker.
Unfortunately this is probably the only song he will be remembered for.
A must-have in your Christmas playlist.
Wham! – Last Christmas
The English duo of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley released this classic back in 1985.
It’s not the happiest song when you start to focus on the actual lyrics, but anyone would still prefer to hear this version compared to the likes of Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Cascada’s cover attempts.
Mariah Carey – All I want for Christmas is you
Oh, Mariah. These Christmas videos really ain’t that great, but this song sure has a way of creeping into your head and chains itself to your mind for the rest of your day.
Hard to believe this was only 1994, but the age of this song will never matter.
Plus, no one could hit the notes Mariah could with this tune and that alone scores itself a spot on any Christmas playlist.
Eartha Kitt – Santa baby
Possibly one of the sexiest Christmas songs ever written, this was released in 1953.
We will refrain from mentioning the bad covers by some artists we shall not name, no one could get close to Ms Kitt with this track.
Boney M – Mary’s Boy Child / Oh My Lord
We just had to add this one in here for the sake of it.
Some people would like to burn all the Boney M music out there, as it has been played to death in the 80’s already and yet it is still going strong.
Of course there are still tons of Christmas music out there, some new, some old.
No matter what is on your playlist this year, as long as you have a jolly-old-jingle-bell-rock of a time, then it’s all good.
