The Ballito Pro, presented by Billabong music concerts at Salt Rock Beach are the biggest beach parties of the year and caters for a variety of music tastes whether it be pop, rock, hip hop or EDM.
Bring a picnic blanket or a couple of beach chairs and get comfortable as the moon rises over the ocean while the good music vibes flow late into the night.
The Ballito Pro music concerts are but one element of the biggest beach festival in Africa, run in conjunction with the world’s longest running professional surfing contest in the world.
The three-night music spectacular takes place from June 30 to July 2 and won’t cost you an arm and a leg because it is completely free of charge.
Thursday
Join the 5FM League of Gold on Thursday night, June 30 for a super loud line-up of some of South Africa’s best hip hop artists, rappers and Djs, including Dj Milkshake, Kwesta, Nastee C, Denny Maverick and more.
Friday
Friday night, July 1 promises to be a little more laid-back with a star studded South African pop and rock line-up including the likes of the Kickstands, Shortstraw, Desmond and the Tutus, The Kiffness and December Streets live on stage.
Saturday
On Saturday night, July 2, epic 5FM Djs Roger Goode, Rob Forbes, Miss Cosmo (TBC) and a host of 5FM Ultra-Mix Djs will invade your ears. If it’s too loud, you’re too old; hence the Saturday night concert traditionally attracts a slightly younger crowd.
Just because the artists have a curfew doesn’t mean you have to go home too. The party continues late into the night with After Dark Parties at Crush Night Club, including a Battle of the Djs competition during the week, a What’s Your Stoke party on the Friday night and 5FM Djs on Saturday night.
