Calling all comedians
Maule will headline each month with a different line-up of three to four local comedians for one night only.
ECR Breakfast Show presenter and national funny man, Darren Maule is on a mission to bring quality comedy to different venues in KZN and he needs your help.
“The idea behind the Darren Maule‘s Never Ending Comedy Tour is to give people a good night out at a good price. Not everybody can, or wants to, travel far to see a show, but everybody does want a laugh and comedians love what they do – so we have put the two together,” said Maule.
Maule will headline each month with a different line-up of three to four local comedians for one night only. The likes of Dusty Rich, Magic Man, Carvin Goldstone and Martin Jonas have already taken to the stage on the tour.
“I am in the privileged position to have worked with so many great comedians and I know what is good and what is not. So, I want to be able to give the Durban audience the best of the best that SA has to offer…before they get headhunted to host some show in America.”
Maule’s business manager, Claire Clark said another exciting part of this initiative is the ‘open mic’.
“One open mic spot per venue will give an aspiring local comic the chance to perform on stage as part of the line-up,” said Clark.
Now it is up to you – communities are encouraged to pitch comedians they would like to see in their towns and aspiring funny folk should enter themselves for the open mic spots on this tour.
All you need to do is send an audio or video snippet of maximum two minutes to claire@claireclark.co.za and you could be the lucky one to get the spot.
