Guitar maestro Dan Patlansky launches new album
Patlansky is back in South Africa after performing 26 shows overseas.

When you hear the name Dan Patlansky, it immediately conjures up images of the genius guitarist, singer/songwriter and globally respected purveyor of the Blues that he is.
So, KZN is in for a treat when Dan launches his new album, Introvertigo, to local audiences when he performers at The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway on Tuesday, November, 1.
Having successfully launched his latest studio album, Introvertigo, in South Africa and Europe since its worldwide release on May 6 2016.
Patlansky is back in South Africa after performing 26 shows over the course of May and June 2016 in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK; and then Dan is returning to Europe in late August for performances in Germany, Slovakia, Hungary and Denmark.
On his return, Dan will be start a nationwide solo acoustic tour across South Africa from September, making a stop for an electric/acoustic show at The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway in November to introduce his new material.
Patlansky used his personal life experiences as inspiration for the album to ultimately marry good songs with guitar playing, and the album has been received with critical acclaim both in South Africa and abroad.
He recently received a nomination from the prestigious British Blues Awards for Best Overseas Artist.
This adds to his long list of accolades he has received in international press such as being voted #4 of the Best Rock Guitarists In The World by Total Guitar Magazine (December 2015), Male Artist of the Year by Blues & Soul Magazine (December 2015), and Top 20 Rock Artists by Blues Magazine (December 2015).
Patlansky was also nominated for Best International Solo Artist at the Planet Rock Radio ‘Rocks’ Awards in February 2016.
The theatre will open at 6.30pm and the show will start at 8pm.
Tickets are R170 per person, and seating will be as for normal shows, with no standing room.
