Fun and games at the Tongaat charity fair
The exciting event that has attracted thousands of people over the years is always great fun for the whole family

A weekend of fun and laughter is coming soon to Tongaat with the much anticipated Tongaat Child Welfare charity fair scheduled from March 29 to April 2.
The fair manager Harold Maistry said the projects team always aims to please and promised that this years event is going to be bigger and better than in previous ones.
“The charity fair is our largest fundraising initiative and the funds raised are used to provide much needed services to vulnerable people in our community. We therefore value the support of all the people who attend and wish to give them a well put together event that they can look forward to.
“We are currently in negotiations with big name artists.”
The exciting event that has attracted thousands of people over the years is always great fun for the whole family.
“There will be an Edufair for primary and secondary school children. There will also be a programme for our senior citizens. Our society is the only one to have a programme dedicated to senior citizens.”
Maistry added that the project team welcomes input on entertainment and other suggestions to improve our fair from members of the public.
“We have stalls that will be advertised shortly so lookout for our call for tenders. Businesses wishing to buy space through sponsorship can feel free to contact us. All local artists who would like to perform at the fair are invited to visit our offices and drop off a sample together with a brief portfolio and their contact details.”
The project team can be contacted on 032-9441514 / 032-9444022 or on e-mail: tcw@telkomsa.net.
