Taste of the Dolphin Coast

Impulse By the Sea has been crowned The North Coast Courier's Taste of the Dolphin Coast

A good curry is hard to beat.

Once again Impulse By the Sea has been crowned The North Coast Courier’s Taste of the Dolphin Coast!

Owner Shamain Reddi said she was delighted by the recognition and thanked all their loyal patrons for voting.

Winning by public vote, the popular restaurant has won the title twice previously, in 2013 and 2014, and it is easy to understand why.

Curry is the food of the gods. It transcends cultural barriers and it is one of the reason I love living on the coast. For those of you who do not know Impulse, it is tucked away in Tinley Manor and it is one of the longest standing restaurants in the area (opened about 20 years ago).

I have had pretty much every curry on offer and they are all done to perfection. They never disappoint.

The one thing that I would like to see is perhaps a sprucing up of their starter selection. It’s been the same for donkey’s years. The one thing that always stands out for me is the traditional way they serve things. I love the copper pots, it adds such a beautifully authentic feel.

Last but not least I always finish off my meal with a soji, which is an Indian dessert made from semolina flour. It is just the perfect way to end off a meal.

Do yourself a favour and visit Impulse, it will be a meal to remember.
