Easter weekend fun on the Dolphin Coast
All the Easter excitement happening this weekend
It’s Easter weekend and the Dolphin Coast is pumping with fun things to do.
Holidaymakers have begun flocking to our beautiful beaches once again and everyone is ready for fun, fun and more fun.
Beachgoers are urged to listen to the instructions of lifeguards and only swim at protected beaches.
Saturday
- The Easter Bunny will pay a visit to the Lifestyle Centre to hand out Easter eggs between 10am and 1pm, while at the same time local band Take Note will be performing live.
- Using his magical powers, the Easter Bunny will also be at Tiffany’s between 9am and 1pm, where they will also have face painting, stilt walkers, balloon animals and lots of awesome Easter arts and crafts for the little ones to enjoy.
- The Junction will be having a fun costume animal procession every hour on the hour from 11am till 2pm to hand out Easter eggs to shoppers as well as several displays including a lifesaving and CPR demonstration from Netcare, also from 9am till 2pm.
- Hirsch’s is hosting a fantastic Easter egg hunt at 10am till 11.30am. RSVP to shane@hirschs.co.za.
Sunday
On Sunday the popular Ballito Lions soapbox derby will take place from 8am to 4pm on Hawkins Drive above the Galley.
Bring your soapbox and test yourself against the best downhill racers on the Dolphin Coast for a day that promises to be filled with laughter and great fun.
There will be plenty of sweets for the kids and the Lions’ famous bacon rolls, boeries and hamburgers to fill the stomach as well as refreshments on sale. Bring your family and friends and race them down the hill for the soapbox bragging rights.
