World Oceans day weekend activities in Salt Rock
Tidal Tao is celebrating World Oceans Day by offering a number of fun free activities this weekend

In honour of World Oceans Day on Thursday, June 8, Tidal Tao in Salt Rock is hosting an array of free events, clean-ups and competitions.
The owners of the local snorkeling company are passionate about the ocean and are appealing to the public to join them for a weekend of exciting activities.
Friday, 9 June
- Rocky shore full moon night walk. See amazing critters, corals glowing under UV light and an all-round beautiful evening out. Meet at Café Salt at 6.30pm.

Saturday, 10 June
- Sunrise snorkel at Chaka’s Rock pool – meet at Chaka’s Rock pool at 6am. Bring your own snorkel gear.
- Beach clean up at Chaka’s Rock – meet at Chaka’s Rock pool at 8am. Volunteers will be cleaning up the thousands of tiny pieces of plastic that are very common all along this stretch of beach around the tidal pool.
- Morning rocky shore walk – meet at Cafe Salt at 9am.
Bookings are essential for the night walks as there is a limit of 15 people to ensure everyone can interact properly with the guides.
Competition
Win a full set of Saekodive Snorkeling Gear, fins, mask and snorkel valued at over R1500 and a free night snorkel safari for four people.
Just visit their Facebook Page, find the competition post and comment on why the oceans are important to you.
The post with the most “likes” by midday on Sunday, June 11 wins.
