• Calling all birders and non-birders! The annual Winter Bird Count will be held at the Harold Johnson Nature Reserve at 6.15am for 6.30am. Entrance is free.

• In celebration of child protection week, join the Breakthrough Centre for their annual Child Protection March. The march will start in Shakaskraal by Pep Store at 10am and a programme will take place at Shakaskraal Primary School Grounds. The dress code is ‘superhero style’. • If you don’t mind a 40 minute drive, just south of us the Botanical Society of SA KZN Coastal Branch is hosting one hour-long walking tours around an attractive 1.5-acre indigenous garden in Atholl Heights, Westville between 9 am and 11 am (reserve tour 2 pm).
