Celebrating Youth Day in style
Inathi Ngcobo from Nkobongo was crowned Miss Ward 28 2017
A vibrant picnic was enjoyed by ward 28 residents as they celebrated youth day at the Shakaskraal Secondary School grounds on Friday.
Besides the music, drinks and breyani, they also enjoyed a show of girls in bikinis on the modelling ramp, competing for the 2017 Miss Ward 28.
Inathi Ngcobo from Nkobongo was crowned the winner.
The 11-year-old grade six pupil at Shakaskraal Primary said she sees herself owning the Miss SA title in years to come.

“I was so happy to win and I want to keep on modelling so that I can win more titles,” said Inathi.
She was described by her grandmother, Joyinisile Ngcobo, as a child who is full of energy.
“Inathi started dancing at the age of one. To see her winning on Friday made me so happy, I could not hold back my tears,” said Joyinisile.
Organiser of the event, councillor Doeshiee Govender said the youth day celebration was the best event held in his ward.
“The programme was sponsored by many local businesses. I thank all sponsors and those who attended the function,” said Govender.
