Flying with the boys at the Ballito Radio Control Club

Next month they are offering you a chance to get 'hands on' with the controls to experience the thrill

In preparation for their open day on July 16, the Ballito Radio Control Club (BRCC) hosted a fun get-together with some of their awesome radio control planes last Friday.

Last week the boys were out in force with their toys, barrel rolling, loop-de-looping and buzzing around their airfield outside Ballito.

The BRCC was formed in 2013 and has grown to a strong 42 members. They meet over weekends, with Sunday being a very popular flying day, between 7am and 11am and often on Wednesdays for retirees (weather allowing).

Next month they are offering you a chance to get ‘hands on’ with the controls to experience the thrill.

“Come and enjoy a coffee and bacon roll with us on our open day, there will even be a ‘buddy system’ allowing novices to take over the controls of a plane and get the feel for flying,” said the BRCC’s Ken Mann.

For directions to their airfield, or for more information on the open day, visit their website at www.brcc.co.za.
